*Vampirism:
-Is transferred through blood ( a simple bite will not do..the victim has to somehow ingest [or whatever] the infected person’s blood
-Can only affect humans
-Vampires digestive systems can only handle human blood…unfortunately
-This constant craving for blood often leads to madness and the inability for vampires to peacefully coexist with humans…
-Though they constantly crave blood, they only need a miniscule amount of blood a day to survive…. Thus, the few vampires that can control their bloodlust have been able to ally themselves with humans
-Vampirism severely limits the infected human’s psychic abilities (in exchange for inhuman strength and speedy recovering skills from injuries and such…)
-They are not undead…..They live and breathe just like regular humans thus they are subjected to weaknesses such as the need for air and other diseases/viruses such as the common cold (yes…they still haven’t invented a cure for the common cold…)
-They are not immortal either…They just heal faster than humans and thus can survive things that most regular humans cannot due to rapid blood loss…
-Vampire hearts still pump blood but they don’t produce nearly enough blood to survive… Thus their need for human blood…Any other kind of blood would be rejected…
- The reason Vampires produced less blood [besides their underactive heart] is a change in their bone marrow..It has become harder [literally] thus there is not as much blood. Scientists have taken this fact and manipulated to either cure vampires to a certain degree by making bone marrow softer…or making the vampires weapons my increasing the hardness of the bone marrow so there is constant bloodlust. [Birdie’ s idea [the bone marrow thing]..I had permission for use though]
*Rabies 2.0
-transferred through saliva
-causes madness (In essence it causes you to slowly loose you mind until it has become that of a primitive animal…a permanently pissed off animal)
-Causes intense pain
-increases one’s physical strength
*Lycanthropy
-is a form of shape-shifting… only it’s out of control…Thus it’s a combination of a psychic ability and a disease
-is transferred through saliva
-It is actually a form of Rabies 2.0 (basically any human who has shapeshifting capabilities [even if it’s just a little bit] who is infected with Rabies 2.0 will become a lycanthrope)
-The animal one transforms into is entirely dependent on whom or what bites them…
*Sleeper Syndrome
-It results from a malformation in the brain…It causes random and uncalled for bursts of emotions (usually anger or sadness….occasionally happiness)
*Schizophrenia 2.0
-This is a combo of a psychic powers and a mental condition.
-Can be causes by severe trauma to the brain or it could simply run in the family
-This happens when the person with the illness has strong psychic powers…They physically create the hallucinations that see in their head with their mind….
*Multiple Personality Disorder 2.0
-Also is a combo of psychic and mental conditions
-Is causes by any kind of trauma – whether mental or physical
-The person with the illness shape-shifts into their different persona without any control over it.
